Drage moje! V teh časih samoizolacije, ko nekateri živijo v strahu zaradi zdravja ali ekonomskih posledic, ki jih bo pustil vurus COVID-19, je še toliko bolj pomembno, da stopimo skupaj. Da smo prijazni drug do drugega bolj kot kdajkoli prej. Strpni. Ljubeči. Za kaj točno gre, kako zelo hudo je in kakšna (če sploh) teorija zarote je zadaj, ne vem. Vem pa, da je po bitki lahko biti general, medtem ko jih med bitko zmore biti le bore malo. Kakorkoli, ostanite zdravi in pazite nase kolikor se le da. 
Sem med tistimi redkimi srečnicami, ki ima kar nekaj izjemnih prijateljev in prijateljic okoli sebe... 
Zelo rade se družimo, če nam le čas dopušča in tokratna samoizolacija terja svoj davek tudi tu - da se s svojimi dragimi dekleti ne morem družiti, smejati, jeziti, jokati in preprosto biti jaz - v živo.
In tako me je delo na računalniku odneslo v mapo, ustvarjeno junija 2019, kjer so fotografije večera, preden je moja draga prijateljica Yovi rekla usodni DA! 
Pre-wedding party je potekal v prelepi hrvaški Opatiji. Dostikrat rada rečem da "friends that dress together, stay together". Tako večer kot priložnost sta bila popolna za dolge obleke The Lie by JPZ obleke, dopolnjene s pasovi in torbicami.
Minuli petek sva z mojo drago Natašo Godler iz NatashaSPAce Mediesthetic naredili Insta Live, kjer je bilo govora o garderobni omari, ureditvi le-te, kombiniranju barv, osnovnih kosih... Posnetek bo v kratkem naložen tudi na IGTV, da si ga boste tiste, ki ste zamudile predvsem prijeten ženski večer, lahko ogledale...
In ko smo pri prijetnih ženskih večerih... Drage moje, tiste, ki me spremljate, dobro veste, da vas dostikrat pozivam, da ne iščite izgovorv o tem, kako nimate priložnosti, da bi si oblekle dolgo obleko, nadele nakit in naličile svoj obraz. In sedaj, bolj kot kdajkoli prej, apeliram na vas - ustvarite si priložnost - in to DOMA! To počnete zase, za nikogar drugega, zato apeliram na vas, da si naslednji petek oblečete svojo najljubšo obleko, naredite svoj “killer” make up, zmešate svoje najljubše razmerje gin-a in tonic-a in preprosto uživate v tem, da ste - ŽENSKA!

In the middle of this health scare, more than ever let’s not forget to be kind to one another.
I was worried a bit whether I am not being too extra in these harsh times... But then I figured - f*ck that, I am an artist! And creating stuff for you guys is what I am and what defines me. And since I am not able to execute my usual creative processes, I decided this past Friday to do something different. Creatives are here to make people feel a little less alone, to distract and entertain, so I did my first Insta live with another amazing woman, incredible skin expert, Nataša Godler from NatashaSPAce Mediesthetic. 
I am one of those few lucky women who has some really great friends around...
We love to hang out whenever time allows us, and so the time of self-isolation requires a tax here too - that I cannot hang out with my dear girls, be crazy, laugh, be angry, cry, and simply be me - in person, just sitting next to each other.
And so, working on my computer took me to a folder with beautiful photos, created in June 2019, the night before my dear friend Yovi said I DO.
The pre-wedding party was held in beautiful Croatian saside city called Opatija. I often say "friends that dress together, stay together". Both the evening and the occasion were perfect for The Lie by JPZ long dresses, completed with our statement belts and handbags.
As mentioned before,  Natasha and I did Insta Live this past Friday, where we talked about the wardrobe, how to arrange it, how to combine colors and what are those basic pieces, every woman should have in her closet. It was a perfect Friday night fever, where girls just simply had - FUN.
My dear fashionistas, those of you who follow me, know very well that I often urge you not to look for excuses about not having the opportunity to put on a long dress, wear jewelry and do your glam make up. So now, even more than ever, I appeal to you - create the opportunity - at HOME! You do this for yourself, for no one else, so I urge you to wear your favorite dress next Friday, do your killer make up, prepare your favorite cocktail and just enjoy being - A WOMAN! Stay healthy, stay dafe and stay at home!

Let's admit - we all had a tartan dress or skirt when we were 5 years old! And then again when we were 15, going through a pop-punk style phase.  However, there are plenty of ways to wear red plaid that feel downright timeless. It's a must have in every closet, especially now, when festive december is just around the corner and you can have so much fun creating chic and stylish looks with it.  There are plenty of ways to wear the festive fabric without looking like a holiday postcard - style it with jeans pants, leather jacket, wool coat and white shirt or go bold as I love to do and match it with another tartan in different color. Remember - just have fun with it!

My Personal Style: Perugia/Italian Days Part 2 May 12 2019, 0 Comments

Ahhh, Perugia. Beautiful Perugia, with outstanding views, famous Perugina factory and delicious Baci chocolate. Despite the April weather in May (from sun, to rain & wind), time spent in this magnificent city truly is a food for your soul. And - mentioning the food - the best homemade pasta (pici or strangozzi), you'll find in Loft cafe and restaurant, just 20 meters away from the main square Piazza IV Novembre towards Piazza Italia. 
So - putting comfort first - for a sightseeing I always go for comfortable looks. I start with sneakers and (most often in spring and summer) sport pants and then I am building up the look with statement pieces, until the final result is CHIC. Amazing bag, jewelry and sunglasses are always a must when transforming a casual look to something extra.

My Personal Style: When In Riga With Baker Boy (Hat) April 16 2019, 0 Comments

Whether you call it a baker boy hat, newsboy cap or a bandit cap (I kind of like this one the most haha), the early 20th century head-topper has had a major fashion resurgence. Hollywood A-listers and runway walkers alike have adorned the hat last year and it looks like they aren't going anywhere in the near future.

And with the winter months rolling out, give your beanie a break and give baker boy hats a spin! As you may know, I am all about accessories and hats are an important part of this category. For my last trip to Riga, Latvia, I decided for a beautiful textured all black look (just take a look at this stunning dress from our FW 18/19 collection and fur trimmed black coat from FW 15/16 collection) and decided to give it a pop of color and a sprinkle of fun with indigo blue baker boy hat and a matching cross body bag. Are we on the same page here, that this hat-outfit combination is just a total win in our books?

I never get tired of this picturesque drive from Las Vegas, Nevada, through Death Valley towards the most amazing mountains in Mammoth Lakes, California. Whenever you get the chance, try it, you won’t regret it, I promise!

Dressing up should be fun. I always say to my clients and customers – if you don’t enjoy it, don’t do it. Save your energy, time and money for the things that interest you and make you happy.
On Sundays, I like to go a little bit crazy with my looks, I love creating playful combinations and – guess what – I like to match with my husband! We have fun with it (well, it’s definitely more fun for me than for him, at least as far as the photoshoot goes), so we do it now and then, especially while vacationing! Yesterday was just a perfect day in Romanian mountain resort, filled with laughter, joy, good friends that became family and beautiful weather, surrounded by an amazing nature.

Ahhh, London! City, dear to my heart and soul. City I've been visiting at least once a year since I was 3 years old. City, where I was buying my Freed ballet shoes back in my dancing days. City, where danced my favorite ballet dancer, Darcey Bussel. City, where I saw first musical. City, where toast with butter tastes better than anywhere else in the world. And the list could go on and on...

Being comfortable, warm and feeling good while sightseeing is also the key to look good. After a long day visiting attractions and museums and running around underground, catching your train, you won't look as a super posh fashionista even in the best heels and the most elegant coat, if you will barely walk from your foot pain or you'll be freezing to death. While traveling, go for comfortable outfits and you rather make them bold with statement accessories.

Obviously, you can find amazing places with amazing food. I am talking about the world cuisine since traditional English food is really not my cup of tea. But the place you have to visit if you are a sushi lover and you want the best performance for the price you pay is Sushi Eatery, located on 40 Firth Street in Soho. 
Bill at Sushi Eatery must be paid in cash (£20), you’ve got an hour and a half to be in and out, you can choose 6 rounds with additional first round where you choose from the menu 8 warm dishes and drinks are paid on top. 
Worried about an hour and a half and only 7 rounds? Well, don't be. The portions are generous and we barely make it to the fourth round (usually to the third, but if we are really hungry, we squeeze in the fourth one as well). I don’t think it’s possible to get through more than four rounds, but if you do, well, than you definitely deserve a pat on the back! 
Despite the name, this spot isn't just about the sushi. You can choose from a good range of Japanese dishes, from edamame and tempura vegetables to chicken teriyaki, miso soup and meats from the robata grill. Sushi does play the lead role here. There's a range of nigiri, sashimi platters, maki rolls and sushi sets. If, like me, you like are a huge raw salmon fan, you’ll be more than satisfied. And for truly authentic Japanese experience - head downstairs for authentic tatami seating.
Ok, so now you are full of sushi and have just a little bit of space for an amazing dessert, right? Walk to Regent street (approximately 8 minutes away) and grab the BEST CHEESE CAKE! Cakes and Bubbles is located in Hotel Café Royal and it is possible you won't be able get a table, but The World's Best Pastry Chef, voted by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Albert Adrià, offers a parade of exceptional desserts: from his signature 'cheese cake' to his egg flan, air waffle and doughnut creations which you can take away in a neat box and have the time of your life while eating it in your hotel room.

As for the city itself, there is no sense loosing the words about all the things you can see and do in London. What are the preferences just depend on what interests you. I always take a walk from Picadilly Circus to Covent Garden, see a musical, check out all the magnificent jewelry at Bentley & Skinner, buy myself a book at one of the amazing book stores (yes, there's many!) and visit Harrods for Godiva chocolate dipped strawberries. That's my London routine, since I've seen most of the attractions and museums already.

Extremely chic, but sporty, while iconic 3-stripe styles from Adidas Originals work anytime. Adidas originals mens 83-c  vintage track pants are, when styled with heels and other elegant pieces, perfect even for a busy work day. Happy Valentine's Day, my loves! May your whole year be filled with Love!
Now, let me dedicate this post to red color, red evening gowns and a few reasons, why should you go for a red evening gown (more often).
Red is not just a color. It's a state of mind. Red is rooted in blood... it instantly attracts attention, makes people excited and energetic. It's a powerful color, one of the first colors used in prehistoric art and in modern days most commonly associated with heat, passion, love and sexuality.
In fashion, re is and always was a very desirable color. There are many shades of red, thus every woman can find that perfect shade for herself.
I would say - when in doubt, wear red. A red dress can be a bold fashion statement and when worn well, you can create with it a look that is both classic and seductive. You can just never go wrong with red, in winter or in summer, on a summer wedding or a black tie event, red evening gown will always pull you out of a "nothing to wear" problem in the best possible way. Just keep your red dress the focal point of your ensemble, complementing it with simple accessories that add interest and contrast to your look. White pumps and leopard clutch, or more neutral nude, silver and gold pieces and you're good to go being the star of the night...
Therefore, when investing in a beautiful and practical evening attire, go for a simple red gown, dear ladies!

Spanish Travel Diary: Day 1 - Rosas & Barcelona September 20 2016, 1 Comment

Rosas is an essentially Mediterranean town with a notable tourist and seafaring tradition. Located in a unique natural environment in the northern area of the Costa Brava, it is less than 30 km from the French border and 160 km from Barcelona, so therefore it was my first stop on a "Spanish" tour. Rosas origins date back to the eighth century BC with the arrival of the Greeks. It is a modern town, which is culturally active with its proud traditions. It offers excellent shopping, restaurants, bars, beautiful beaches and fun nightlife. 
Rosas is near to some of the most attractive and least crowded beaches of the Costa Brava. Just down the road, the vast stretch of beach runs all the way to historic Sant Martí de Empuries.
After enjoying Rosas, there comes the outstanding Barcelona with i's historic sights, fantastic restaurants with delicious tapas, world-class museums and art galleries. Heaven for every artistic soul...
Always inspired by great architecture, the first thing to see in Barcelona was Antonio Gaudi's magnum opus, the most visited monument in Barcelona, church Sagrada Familia. With its most amazing arches, towers and Nativity facade, Sagrada Familia truly is a masterpiece like no other. La Pedrera is another Gaudi's jewel worth visiting. Apartment building, commissioned in 1906 by businessman Pere Milà i Camps and his wife Roser Segimon i Artells, is the result of two buildings, which are structured around two courtyards that provide light to the nine levels: basement, ground floor, mezzanine, main or noble floor, four upper floors, and an attic, distributing 20 homes for rent. One of the most significant parts of the building is definitely the roof with skylights, staircase exits, fans and chimneys. All of these elements are constructed from timbrel and coated with limestone, broken marble or glass and have become real sculptures integrated into the building.
Amazing to see is also Barcelona Cathedral. Gothic cathedral, dedicated to young virgin Eulalia of Barcelona, co-patron saint of Barcelona, whose body is entombed in the cathedral's crypt, has an outstanding chapels and crypt with beautiful atrium, where you'll find cathedral's garden, fountain and even geese.

The importance of rituals... I guess the need for ritual is a basic human instinct, as urgent as our need for food, shelter and love. Everybody, everywhere seems to be busy and stress is becoming an assumption of modern life. So, it's important to take time for yourself, even if only half an our a day. I always love to take some time while being busy in Ljubljana city center and just take a little coffee break, sit down, relax and observe the people rushing around, some dressed really well and therefore being my inspiration and food for my soul... Travel Diary: Romania Part 3 - Sibiu August 17 2016, 2 Comments

Sibiu is a beautiful city in Transylvania, located 215 km north-west of Bucharest. Now the capital of Sibiu County, in the past - between 1692 and 1791 and 1849-1865 Sibiu was the capital of the Principality of Transylvania.
Sibiu is one of the most important cultural centre of Romania and was designated the European Capital of Culture for the year 2007. You just can not help yourself but to fall in love with it, once you are there. With small streets, beautiful old houses, cute restaurants, bakeries and antique shops, Sibiu is almost a copy of Ljubljana's old town, my home, so I guess this is one of the reasons I was immediately stunned by this adorable place. The '90s trends made a huge comeback and they are not going away quite yet. And, it's the '90s that I draw inspiration from for my casual look on a ferry boat.
You know, that history tends to repeat itself and the saying definitely holds true in the fashion industry.
Here are a few trends from the '90s, you simply must rock this summer:
CHOKER: do you remember the tattoo style version? I guess we all wore them. The look lives on and you can do it in a more sophisticated way - with a black leather strap or, go even further and choose them in different colours or materials (such as metal) for a truly glamorous appearance.
FLORAL PRINT: the floral print in little daisy prints has made a strong comeback and it's just perfect for romantic summer outfits.
PLATFORMS: Even though you thought you'd never see sky high platforms again, they are BACK! You can certainly go for a more sophisticated version with a block heel.
FLANNEL: nineties grunge is back and more polished than ever, so the flannel shirts are here. Wear it or tie it around your hips for a more super cool look.
DENIM: what are 90's without denim? Well, they don't exist... So, denim jackets, high waisted jeans and hot pants are a must!
CROP TOP: the belly baring shirts were a '90s staple and they are back! Either for sporty and casual looks or in a more sophisticated tone in combination with high waistline umbrella and pencil skirts or pants.

With the outstanding nature, the scenery was just right for this casual combo for comfortable yet stylish sightseeing.

Unlike studio strobes, natural lighting changes hour to hour, day to day, season to season, and of course, location to location.  It’s always something new and different! But for me, the most beautiful is the summer sunset light, always making you look warm & beautiful. The last 30 minutes of daylight, on up to about 20 minutes after sunset are definitely the best recipe on how to make amazing photos for your blog, Facebook, Instagram, or well, just for yourself. Now, from the light, let’s talk about dressing down that has never looked so cool as now, with our stunning fringed summer shoppers. Agree? I like to go casual on Sundays, but still want to create a special, comfortable, yet chic look at the same time.

Red is the color of extremes. It's the color of passionate love, seduction, violence, danger, anger, and adventure. Having said that, it is the perfect color for Saturday night out and what better way than doing it effortless cool in our luxurious all-in-one.

Yes, jumpsuits are effortless, chic and fun. But there are some good tips and tricks you should follow :

1. Finding a jumpsuit that fits your body perfectly is key to looking polished and put together. Don’t wear anything too tight or too loose.
2. Don’t loose your figure. A lot of jumpsuits have either a cloth belt or you can easily add your own belt to define your waist if the jumpsuit isn’t tailored. Emphasising your waist is a great way to give you that curvy look.
3. A jumpsuit can easily be dressed up for a formal event, when the style of the jumpsuit is appropriate. All you have to do is accessorize it to fit the party.

Dressing up should be fun and you should enjoy in it. And when you mix and match or try to invent new ways of wearing certain pieces - this is when it becomes really fun. 
As many of you, who follow our brand, my work and personal style, may already know, I love mixing different patterns, textures and sophisticated layering. So, today I went for pepita, check and aztec pattern with many layers. Or so it seem, because of this amazing double sided scarf, which is great to elevate your style, especially when worn with a belt, so you can nicely accentuate your figure despite the chunky knits.
And talking of knits - is there anything better in a cold weather than bundling up in a chic chunky knit piece? My Personal Style: #fbf To NYE Outfit Or Fur Stole Trick From The 1950's January 08 2016, 6 Comments

It’s not a big secret, that I love fashion icons from the 1950’s. And it's no secret, how much I love contrasts in style. Having said that, my NYE outfit choice was definitely inspired by stated above. 
Lately, at every corner you turn, someone is wrapped up in one. In every city across the globe, magazines state that you need one. And bloggers, fashionistas or models all own one!
Here at The Lie by JPZ we love fur stoles and we used it wrapped around beautiful red wool dress and fixed to it with a statement belt already in our FW 2013/2014 collection When In Budapest With Tristan Karol. make sure you elevate your look during the chilly months with one of these bad boys.
I styled our elegant sequinned The Lie by JPZ jumpsuit (cause you just have to sparkle on a NYE) with an edgy, long black jacket with leather-effect sleeves for an urban twist, while chunky belt and statement bag added a sophisticated rock-chic effect to the entire look (which I love since I was a little girl and my father took me to many rock concerts).
And now comes the Marilyn Monroe, or rather, because of a modern downtown edge, Marlene Dietrich moment! - by adding our stunning The Lie by JPZ white fur stole which totally elevated the look to a whole different level!

My Personal Style: Glamorous In Red With A Touch Of Silver December 31 2015, 3 Comments

What are holidays for? Ever since I’m a little girl, holidays always meant for me hosting friends and family, eating good food (a looot of sweets), decorating apartment and dressing up in festive and glamorous outfits. Today is no different... I still love and do all that, except that when it comes down to dressing up, well, I do it in an even more glamorous way. To be honest, Christmas dinners and NYEs, when celebrated indoor, are the perfect occasion for every woman to wear long evening gown with some sparkling jewellery. It's the time, when no one can be overdressed, it's the time, when you can really go for a Hollywood glamour, have no bad feeling about it and - really enjoy it! I certainly always do.

Throughout the years as a designer, I came to realize that every woman, no matter the body figure, age or personal style, knows how to wear an evening gown. Yes ladies, we have this in our DNA! And if you haven't tried it yet, do it, because it feels absolutely amazing.

One of my favourites for NYE is definitely long red gown (for a lot of luck in the coming year) and silver accessories for an extremely glamorous touch!

Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness and contestants tend to be strong defenders of nature, believing in pageant's motto Beauties for a Cause.
That is why this time, I drew inspiration from Slovenian forests, which not only have important ecological and social functions, but also lend exceptional beauty to the Slovenian landscape, emerging in beautiful fairy style gown, capturing Laura's essence: her grace, her spark and her timeless beauty.

Keep your fingers crossed for her final performance and best classification on Miss Earth world final 2015, held on 5 December in Vienna, Austria!

My Personal Style: White Bride In Valley Of Fire October 17 2015, 9 Comments

Valley of Fire is located near Las Vegas in state of Nevada and it derives its name from red sandstone formations, formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of dinosaurs, 150 million years ago. Complex uplifting and faulting of the region, followed by extensive erosion, have created the beautiful, super photogenic landscape. And so it was a must to make some beautiful editorial pictures there. Blue sky and red rocks were just calling for a white contrast, such as this chic ensemble of stone embellished jacket and long mermaid skirt. 
Looking for a winter wedding dress? This look is absolutely perfect, since the jacket has long sleeves, not to mention the fact that you will look absolutely stunning and innovative, going for a long evening skirt, matched with peplum jacket. And the embellished shoulders – aren’t they just sooooo adorable?

In Las Vegas, city of lights, glitter is always a good idea, right? I love glitter pieces when styled in contrasts, cause that's what gives that chic vibe to it and prevent you from looking like a walking disco ball... So, for the first night out in Vegas, I went for a head to toe The Lie by JPZ look and paired glitter pencil skirt with a statement black blazer, that gave some rough rock touch to the whole ensemble. For a truly dazzling appearance I added some strong silver accessories. You know, in the middle of all those lights, you want to pop out from the crowd...

My Personal Style: Accessorized On the Beach August 23 2015, 9 Comments

Who doesn’t like to frolic in the sun in their bikini or one piece? And which fashionista doesn’t like to spice it up a bit (or a lot) with some beautiful statements? There is certainly a wide range of accessories, that I love to use on the bech – bags, belts, sunnies and jewellery.
Ladies, which go for a conservative look, a delicate silver or golden pendant necklace will both add a little extra something to your look. But, if you want to get more glam, be daring and load up on chunky jewels like our The Lie by JPZ silver body chain and leather cuffs in metallic silver hue.
Do not be afraid to use belts on the beach – I love to wear them with my sarongs, to emphasize my waist, but sometimes, I love to pair most special ones also with one piece swimsuit, especially for a late afternoon and night of cocktails under the moonlight. Though heels are not very practical for the beach, do change your favourite daytime flats for a stunning pair of sandals for a cocktail party on the beach and seriously kick up the glam factor!
