Snow just makes everything so magical and even though Christmas wasn't white, yesterday I finally woke up to this gorgeous winter fairytale. Snowy nights are my absolute favs, perfect for chic winter outfits, inspired by gorgeous character of Lara from iconic Doctor Zhivago movie. So, Lara's hat is of course an absolute must and there is another iconic accessory, that I absolutely adore this winter - hand muff. So, on a yesterday's snowy walk in the city, I went for black over the knee boots, skirt, turtleneck and skirt, paired with coat and hand muff in pastel pink hue and white fur hat. And, of course, the most exiting piece was our The Lie by JPZ white leopard bag, which elevated and added that powerful twist to the entire look.

There is definitely something with black&white outfits, since they always work perfectly in transition from day to night, which comes in very handy in a modern, quick way of life. I love to wear white in the wintertime, especially, because most of people wear it during the summer. And since I am a really freezing person, The lie by JPZ long black fur vest is always a cool choice to keep me warm, yet extremely chic. My Personal Style: In White From Head To Toe For A Fresh Approach To Your Winter Wardrobe December 15 2014, 11 Comments

When it comes down to winter, we are used to wrap ourselves in black. But personally, I absolutely love to play with brights and even white colour, which is more common in the summertime. Yes, for a fresh approach to your winter wardrobe, try to play with white, a lot of white. Layering is always so much fun and when it is done in one colour, is the layering and different structures of material, that make your outfit interesting and special. For this all white look I draw an inspiration from the 70's. I paired elegant wide leg pants with oversized wool sweater with a rounded silhouette and a discreet cross pattern. I used a white skinny belt to chinch it and over it I chose to wear our beautiful The Lie by JPZ white fur vest. And, of course, I never forget about adding a wide range of accessories to my look - from white necklace, croco bag with fur pom pom, cat eye sunglasses, golden watch, rings and bracelets to ankle booties, to really make a statement and adding that much needed personal touch to the entire look.

Tomorrow, on 14th of December, the world will get new most beautiful woman on our planet, Miss World 2014! The coronation night will happen in London Excel in London, UK, and Slovenia will be represented by a natural beauty Julija Bizjak, Miss Slovenia 2014, in gorgeous, one of a kind The Lie by JPZ red evening gown. For already the third year in a row, I had the honour to design unique evening gown for our contestant on Miss World final and this year, I draw an inspiration from festive season, since the final is held not in a warm exotic country during the summertime like in previous years, but in Europe, where together with low temperatures in December, comes also this joyful Christmas spirit, presents and beautifully decorated cities and capitals. And that is how a floor length mermaid silhouette dress with a low back and transparent red lace along the bust and waist line with a criss-cross back creating a beautiful x shape and large bow on the side, was born. Our designer Jerneja Podbevšek Zhembrovskyy have been an official stylist and designer of Miss Slovenia for Miss World beauty contest already for third year in a row. Under her brand The Lie by JPZ, she takes care for the appearance of Miss Slovenia for Miss World finalists as well as for the winner of the year. For the past two years, and this year again, she created stunning evening gown for Slovenian contestants on the Miss World finals, which represent the idea and vision of the brand, emphasising woman's beauty, individuality and subtle sex appeal.  Soon the stunning red gown of Miss Slovenia 2014, Julija Bizjak, for her final appearance on Miss World 2014 Final, which will be held in O2 Arena in London on 14th of December, will be revealed. This time, we proudly represent to you The Lie by JPZ one of a kind evening gown for Slovenian contestant Patricia Peklar, Miss Earth Slovenia 2014, for a dazzling appearance on her final performance in Philippines – Miss Earth World 2014 Coronation night on 29^th of November.
A dramatic gown can definitely add some magic to each her step on the final stage and that is why I aimed to create a scene stealing gown, that catches the eye and sets our beautiful Miss Earth Slovenia, Patricia Peklar, apart from the crowd. Beautiful gown in fresh white color blends beautifully with her shape and simple mermaid line with open back enables the discreet, asymmetrical stone embellishment to really shine in all its glory. Long, flowing silk draped shoulder trains, inspired by the Greco-Roman style, elevate the entire look to a whole different level, creating a light, summery, yet chic and glamorous feeling, fluttering behind her while walking down the stage. Paired with The Lie by JPZ golden plated earrings and bracelets, this entire look is just the combination of contrasts, I wanted to achieve: classic yet modern, simple yet chic, discreet yet noticeable, romantic yet edgy.

My Personal Style: On My Way To Sunny LA! November 13 2014, 7 Comments

My short trip to sunny LA from fabulous Las Vegas was great, as always. And the weather, oh the weather... Just thinking about it makes me feel warm, despite the winter we are having in Slovenia. I absolutely loved the 4 hour drive in Mustang cabriolet through the beautiful and extremely photogenic desert. It is such a cliche, but such a traditional thing for me, that I do it in the same way every time. I adore old images of 50’s and 60’s fashion icons, driving in red mustang cabriolet from 1964, wearing cat eye sunglasses and beautiful silk scarf to protect their hair, head and neck, and that’s where I got inspiration for my outfit. Classic and chic black lace midi skirt paired with sporty white cropped top to make a contrast with a touch of a modern edge -  these are just the kind of combinations I adore!

I draw inspiration from the 1950’s and 1960’s, and beside other characteristics, lines and accessories in the collection, that reflect the era, very important part of The Lie by JPZ FW 14/15 collection are also hand muffs. So yes, hand muff should be on top of every girl’s winter wish list.
You might think hand muffs faded out in the early 1900’s, and they probably did, but they are definitely back here at The Lie by JPZ in all of their glory and we absolutely love them! The Lie by JPZ Celebrates It's 4th Anniversary October 20 2014, 4 Comments

It's been 4 years, since The Lie by Jerneja Podbevšek Zhembrovskyy was launched on October 20th 2010 at 20:10 pm. 4 beautiful, creative, productive and exciting years. In this time, I launched 14 collections - 3 jewellery, 2 bags and 9 couture collections. So many individual orders, projects, co-branding projects... When thinking about it, how much was done already, it seems like 10, not only 4 years. But on the other hand, seems like it was yesterday, when me and my team were brainstorming in my living room , thinking about the name, the logo, the strategy of the brand... And so many beautiful ideas and products that still need to be published! It makes me so excited to simply think about it. But no greatness is achieved over night. It takes courage, patience, a lot of hard work, many decisions and an unrelenting pursuit of your greatest desire.
I follow my deems. And it is because of you, that my dreams are coming true, every day, bit by bit. My Personal Style: Summer Beach Style = Accessories August 28 2014, 4 Comments

I like to be a bit of an outsider and stay home, working really hard, when everybody leaves on holiday and I love to relax when everybody is stressing out. That is why my main summer vacation always comes at the end of August.

The holiday vibe is amazing. Going out each night until 2am or fall asleep without any bad feeling at already 9pm, beautiful tanned skin and salt on your body - this is the luxury that comes together with my summer holiday. For me nothing’s more enjoyable during hot summer days than feeling absolutely free and lost. Early escapes to the beach, late night dinners and cocktails without any timeline, endless naps and talks with family and friends. Phone on a silent mode is another thing I love about holiday. And, while being so relaxed, I just love to get out all those accessories, swimsuits, jeans shorts, turbans, big or small hats, clutches and straw bags and creating my summer beach style. What I love about it is the fact, that my outfits can work glamorous on the beach, but also in the city during the day and some of them even on a late night dinners, when switching flip-flops to high heel sandals.

My summer beach style differs on locations. So in Dalmatia, while on the boat, discovering beautiful islands, I love the outfits with a little boho vibe, very casual and beach ready but at the same time with a needed touch of edginess and chic. When in Miami, Rimini, Cannes or Monte Carlo, I love to go for more glamorous and elegant beach style. Talking about jewellery on the go, chunky pieces as well as most tiny and elegant ones, and of course, also body jewellery, are definetly a must. Without it, I really feel naked.

Also, I love to wear belts with chic pareos, kimonos, waisted playsiuts, kaftans or tunics. Chic belt can really elevate the entire look and with it you can nicely accentuate your stature. When packing, I never forget about straw bags, which are just perfect for the beach, travel or city. And, when I do not need to take a lot of stuff with me, I always go for clutches. It would be an absolute crime to wear them only in the evenings since they look extremely chic even on the beach. Playing with different hats and sunglasses (my absolute favorites are cat-eye and aviators) is also something I never miss when creating my beach outfit. And combining bikini tops and bottoms from different sets is something that I find really amusing.Oh and nothing, really nothing is more fun on the seaside, than wearing marine and sailors inspired clothes – I just love it!

So, my dear fashionistas, be creative also with your summer beach outfits, dare to be different, dare to create your personal statement style and become fashion icon – even on the beach!

My Personal Style: It Is All About Accessories August 13 2014, 3 Comments

When it comes down to my personal style, it really is all about accessorizing. My main policy is to keep it simple with the clothes and complicated with accessories. Whether a statement piece of jewellery, belt, bag, sunglasses or amazing heels, good accessory will always make you look pulled together.
My basic style is elegant - youthful and modern, always with a touch of a modern edge and mixed with other different styles – from rock to retro. I also like to wear comfortable and laid back clothing yet always with an elegant twist.
I believe that you can look fabulous, regardless of how much you spend. The most important thing is to invest in eternal, interesting and statement pieces, which highlight your wardrobe.
Clothing has to fit well with my surroundings. As my social settings change or my mood shifts, I want to be able to adapt my style to fit my needs at the time. Rather than attempting to develop different styles for different occasions, I work on finding ways to use my personal style as a common thread in any outfit I put together. Therefore I believe it is crucial to have basic personal style, to keep things simple and never, I mean really never, forget about accessories.
